I had a lovely birthday. Being 24 is awesome, I got lots of free shots, and Happy Birthday song in Italian. A few things I would have changed but there's no use dwelling on that sort of thing.

Currently avoiding homework for all it's worth and waiting for Desperate Housewives to come on TV. Also flipping through my new Rachael Ray magazine, and waiting for my roommates to get back from Initiation. Oh, how nice to not be a collegiate Phi Mu with Sunday obligations.

Had a lovely time with my family yesterday too- love love love my grandma.

This is a random post but oh well.

I have had high drama the past few days... so over it. I feel like the drama in OTHER people's lives really shouldn't be spilling over into mine, but it is.

Today I had a big goof- I got ready for class half an hour later than I should have, and left half an hour later than I should have. My class started at 9:30 but I LEFT my house at 9:30! Somehow I didn't realize this until I was almost to school, and suddenly it hit me that I was already about 20 minutes late. My professor hates people who are late, so I just turned right back around and went to Starbucks instead!

Big test tomorrow, so I'm spending all night after I get home from my internship STUDYING.

American Idol is really tripping me out. I like Stevie Wonder, so I wasn't as bored as most people during this week's show. But how can Ace and Lisa be in the bottom three? I will definitely be voting for Lisa next week, because I do love her. I know I say I love Kevin, but I do think it's time for him to go. I won't be sad when he finally gets voted off, because it's a different level of competition. AND WHAT IS BUCKY STILL DOING THERE? WHO THE HELL IS VOTING FOR HIM?

He is so gross. UGH.

OK I think I have thoroughly disgusted myself enough. Time to shower and start my day for real this time.

I suppose this can count as Photo of the Day, even though it was taken a long time ago. I edited it with my new Photoblast actions- this one is B/W Mocha. It looks a lot better in black and white. You can't really tell now, but I was really sunburnt in the original and it was not so cute. I also got the B/W Goldenrod and the Vivid Color actions, and then since I bought 3, I got 2 storyboard actions for free. So I'll have to try that out sometime soon.

Today was a lot of fun. It was really nice to spend time with my mommy and sister. We went shopping but we really didn't buy anything. However, I did manage to coerce my mother into two inexpensive but super-exciting scrapbooking purchases.

2. A white Sharpie paint pen! I'm totally excited to use this on my next paper project.
After all that browsing, I was really tired, so I decided to just hang out at my parents' house for dinner. That was really nice- free food that I don't have to cook is ALWAYS nice ;)

I am such a loser- I haven't gone out at all this week, and it's spring break! I could have found something to do tonight but since I got up so early, I'm just going to spend a little time reading before I crash. Tomorrow I go the the Pregnancy Care Center for my second peer counseling session. Wish me luck!

So a Photo of the Day... and it feels good! The above is my very, very favorite pair of shoes. They are like my little gold fairy shoes. And they are from the Gap, which makes them very comfortable. Hopefully matching scrapbook page to follow.

I am FINALLY getting a start on all of the things that have been piling up on me this week. I have avoided laundry like the plague, and I haven't cracked a book. Granted, I've been busy with my internship, but I've had days off where I've just done n o t h i n g.

Tomorrow I'm heading to Chapel Hill with my sister and mom to visit the Aveda Institute. My little sister is a freshman in college (East Carolina) but she's considering cosmetology school instead. However, the more exciting part of the trip for me is SouthPoint Mall! And maybe, if I'm lucky, I can convince my mom to swing by the SuperTarget that's right there. Funny how I have a regular Target here, but it just doesn't seem good enough now that I've visited a SuperTarget!

My phone has been ringing non-stop today and I just want to throw it out the window. Or let it die and not charge it back up. But probably not a good idea considering it's my only phone and I'm here all by myself.

OK off to finish:

• straightening my desk
• starting my laundry
• writing a thank you note to my Grandma (she sent $50!)

and start:

• reading for class this coming week
• watching Season 2 of Lost (OK that's a fun thing)
• doing a little digi-scrapping (also fun)

OK so I made the switch from Typepad to Blogspot. I was paying for Typepad and not using it very much... so I figure if I get Blogspot for free AND I might use it more, I'll be right on top of things.

Photo of the Day might be making a reappearance as well, if only for the sole fact that I am a freakin' DIGI BUYING MACHINE. In the past few days, I have bought so much stuff, it's ridiculous. And I've got to have pictures to use them, right?

I think I'm done for right now, but I may come back to it later. Let's close it out with:
